The overall mandate of the United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) is to provide leadership, operational support, and oversight of the security management system to enable the safest and most efficient conduct of the programmes and activities of the United Nations System. UNDSS Somalia is supporting the UN Agencies through security advice and guidance to enable the UN Agencies to conduct their operations in the safest way possible. UNDSS has it’s headquartered in New York and have operations in more than one hundred countries. Organizational Relation Under the guidance and supervision of the PSA/DPSA, the Driver provides reliable and safe driving services to the UNDSS Mogadishu office and other DSS staff and visitors, ensuring the highest standards of discretion and integrity, sense of responsibility, excellent knowledge of protocol and security issues. The Driver also demonstrates a client-oriented approach, courtesy, tact and ability to work with people of different national and cultural backgrounds. Upon request of the supervisor, the Driver provides driving services to the DSS staff at the duty station.
