WORLD VISION SOMALIA PROGRAMME
PRE-QUALIFICATION OF RESEARCH ASSISTANTS
Background Information
World Vision Somalia (WVS) has been operating in Somalia since 1993, implementing emergency and recovery humanitarian programming in Puntland, South-South West, Jubaland States and Somaliland. WVS works with vulnerable communities across Somalia through an integrated approach to Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Health and Nutrition, Food Security and Livelihoods, Education, Protection and Shelter.
To provide evidence of program interventions in the communities, WVS undertakes routine data collection, assessing the progress of the on-going projects and data collection during baselines and evaluations. WVS recognizes the available capacity of the young graduates that can contribute to community development by participating in the data collection process. The development of a technical resource pool of young people who will offer expertise in data collection that WV and other agencies can draw upon as and when the need arises is critical.
Therefore, this is to invite applications from qualified and experienced Research Assistants who are interested in providing the above expertise in data collection and research when required.
