General context of the project
Post Distribution Monitoring (PDM)project provides a space that UNHCR can establish and find-out if the personsof concern (PoCs) have received their entitlement of the cash payments and anyin-kind distributions (NFIs) and at same time clarify how the assistance havebeen utilized. PDM project seeks systematic data collection, analysis andreporting of key information about beneficiaries in order to improveHumanitarian aid programs and assistance. The project will provide monitoringfor the following interventions; Cash assistance, NFIs, Livelihoods, Education,Health, Shelter, and other projects of UNHCR implemented by partners. Theinformation processed helps in reinforcing accountability on the actual use ofaid resources; responding to the needs and priorities of the PoCs; and beingsensitive to protection and security risks caused by both NFI distributions andCash based Intervention

The project officer will support theproject manager in implementing the post distribution monitoring exercisesregarding the cash assistance distribution either done direly by UNHCR Somaliaor implementing partners.

3. Position requirements
Education
University level degree in socialscience, statistics and economics
Professional experience
Previous experience in monitoringand evaluation, data collection, data analysis and experience in cash transferprograms
Professional requirements
Good communication skills,understanding of Somali culture and dynamics, report writing and analysis.
Languages
English, Somalia language is a plus
Personal requirements
A good team leader
